Medicare Recognition:
Ahoy, mates! Did you know that as an AMHSW, I'm recognised by none other than Medicare Australia? That means you can set sail on your mental health journey knowing that some sessions are eligible for Medicare rebates. Smooth sailing ahead!
High Standards:
Regarding professionalism, we AMHSWs set the bar as high as the crow's nest. We adhere to the Australian Association of Social Workers' Practice Standards for Mental Health Social Workers 2014, ensuring that you receive the highest quality care possible. In addition, I hold accreditation as a Clinical Psychosexual Therapist with the Society of Australian Sexologists (SAS) and am the President of the SAS WA branch.
Experience and Supervision:
Before earning my stripes as an AMHSW, I embarked on a rigorous journey that included at least two years of full-time mental health social work experience. Plus, I received formal supervision from seasoned captains of the mental health field, ensuring that I'm well-prepared to guide you through any storm. I have formal qualifications, including a Master of Sexology (Professional), Master of Social Work, Post Grad Certificate in Mental Health Science, Bachelor in Social Sciences (Social Work and Psychology) and an Advanced Diploma in Policing and Administration.
Continuing Professional Development:
Just like a ship needs regular maintenance to stay afloat, I engage in ongoing professional development to keep my skills shipshape. That means you can trust that I'm always up-to-date on the latest and greatest in mental health support.
